[kopete] version 0.9.2 and notification

Hi all,
I'm using kopete 0.9.2 with kde 3.3.2. When I put myself in away I can't receive any notification. In kopete 0.9.1 all was ok, is that a new feature? I understand that it's useful but is there a way to receive them?

Thanks in advance.

Have a nice day

What kind of notification are you talking about? I can set myself away and still get a dialog box popping up when someone tries to talk to me. I can hit "View" and continue on.

I can't use this... when I am away nothing can reach me... no sound, no dialog box, no blinking...

On line all works well...

I've no more clue, then... How did you install KDE 3.3.2? I used konstruct to build it myself.

I used Slackware's unofficial contribution packages listed in KDE site. I begin to think that the problem is here. Maybe I will use konstruct too: how long did build take you? I have a Pentium M 1.7 GHz... I prefer not leave my laptop building for hours :D

Thanks

I didn't time it, but it took at least 8-9 hours to do the whole build. That's everything including Qt, aRts and other libraries so if you already have Qt 3.3.3 and aRts 1.3.x installed on your machine, you can cut down on the build time quite a bit.

Thanks a lot, I think I'll wait for official packages :D
8-9 hours are too much!

I wouldn't blame you... ;)

In fact, it would probably take you longer. My machine is a P4-2.4GHz w/ 1GB RAM.
