opening files via fish:// problems with kwrite BUT NOT kedit

Hi guys,
I have a problem that I think is related to some network problem, but maybe it could be related to kwrite/kate.
Well if I open a remote text file via fish:// with kedit it goes ok.
A popup window comes with "connecting" and after "initiating protocol" and then kedit loads the file very well.
If I open that file with kwrite or kate, the former dialog (Examining File Progress) pops up BUT it stalls on initiating protocol. If I press "cancel" the dialog goes away and reopens loading the file successfully.
I like more kwrite than kedit, so is it possible to correct or passthrough this bug?

Bye bye,
Pietro
