Okokok, so I installed ftp with an rpm.

I assume I start the server using the konsole. ( ./filename )

But where do i go? How do i figure out where it was installed?

Have you read the manual/howto/man pages for your particular server? If it's a server, you probably start it via an init script and you most likely will find the configuration file in /etc/<package>..

Good luck.
