Ethernet and ADSL help needed.

Hey, I'm fresh from windows and have installed Mandrake Linux 10 on my laptop. It's all set up and now I want to get my PCMCIA ethernet card to work and start using internet (ADSL).
As far as I know, I think my ISP uses DHCP if that would help.
The computer I write this on, uses the same connection, but in winXP, and TCP/IP settings is set on "Automaticly recieve IP"

How do I activate/install my ethernet card?
How do I configure the connection to internet?

I'm not so good with konsole commands, so if you could explain how to do it trough the GUI (KDE) I'd be happy =)

Make your way over to file /etc/conf.d/net

It will have default values so you can edit it to meet your needs. It's pretty self explanitory.

Given the fact that my distro is different, don't be surprised if the file doesn't exist.

Welcome to linux. Unfortunately, it's not 100% point and click..
-- rm -fr /etc/whitehouse
-- Gentoo | udev | Xorg 6.8.2 | 2.6.14-r4 | KDE 3.5.0
