[Kopete] No successful login with any of the protocols

I have 3 Fedora Core 1 machines. 2 at home with no proxy-server and LinkSys Router/Gateway/Firewall. Kopete works well on both of those machines. The 3rd is at work behind many firewalls and proxy-servers. I configued KDE with the proxy-server settings and successfully browse this form with Konqueror. GAIM works with the same proxy settings. Firefox works with the same proxy-settings. Kopete has not successfully made any connections with MSN, AOL, or Yahoo. Does Kopete write to a log?
It would apprear from an ethereal capture that Kopete never connects through the proxies.
