Kopete: Request for SOCKS5 Proxy Support

Hey all, I'm writing a SOCKS5 proxy server and a number of my users who use Kopete are complaining that it doesn't seem to support using a proxy to connect to an IM network. If I weren't busy with a bajillion other things, I'd go run and put in the SOCKS support myself, but given that I can't, can someone kindly take it upon themselves to do so?

Thanks,
Dave Weekly

I'm not sure if any kopete developer will read this.
