Contact list problems with Kopete
I downloaded kopete 0.74 for Mandrake 9.2 from rpm.pbone.net.
The msn problem is fixed, but now if I add a buddy in my list, next time I will launch Kopete, the buddy will not be in my list. If I try to add him again, Kopete says it is already in.
An other problem is that kopete shows very old pseudonym of offline buddies. When they get online, it shows the good one, but then do the same things when they go offline.
I think I will downgrade to 0.73 and just move a buddy to an other group to connect to msn.
kopete contact list problem
This sounds like another manifestation of the problem I'm having. When someone who is not in my contact list sends me a message, it pops up the message dialog but says that user is offline. It adds a group to the contact list and adds two copies of that user's name. Neither shows online.
The behaviour sounds very much like what you're describing. It sometimes crashes kopete on exit when this happens.

I think I will also move contact arround until the next version (kopete 0.8 ) arrives
problem removing contacts with kopete 7.4
I have a similar problem but it occurs when trying to remove names from the contact lists. If I try to remove an AOL or Yahoo contact the next time I connect they reappear
The only stupid question is the one never asked.
