Kopete MSN

I've started having troubles connecting to my msn account. ICQ is fine, and I can connect to the account on my windows PC. I think it started happening when I moved from a 2.4.20 kernel to 2.4.22.

I'm usng kopete 0.7.4 in kde 3.1.4 on a 2.4.22-gentoo-r1 kernel.

I've tried the suggestion in the faq about 0.7.2 and fooling it in to thinking it's a windows box. However, I didn't actually have a kopeterc in my $KDEDIR/share/config dir so I did it in my /home/brian/.kde3.1/share/config/kopeterc file and copied that across (clutching at straws a bit)

I've also tried
- removing/readding my account
- removing, deleting my config files and reinstalling

In another thread there was a tip about changing a contacts group and reconnecting, but as I can't even connect to get my contact list I can't try this!

Any help appreciated!

Brian.

Looks like my problem is relates to this post http://www.kde-forum.org/viewtopic.php?t=1726 about using a proxy that's recently been added. I've turned off the proxy I was running (privoxy) and I can connect now. I'll keep my eye on that thread.
