Remote desktop browser?...

Is there anything I can run in KDE to look on my subnet for remote X servers, and provide me the option to connect to them, much the way Exceed(tm) does?...

I think you can use Xnest as an windowed XServer.
It will broadcast for XDMCP enabled host if told so.
