SMS-Application

Hi!
I've looked for a KDE SMS app which offers SMS sending (preferable in Austria), use the phone numbers of Kadressbook and so on.
Can anybody help me?

I've read about an SMS plugin for kopete, the new instant messenger
that will be included in KDE 3.2:
http://kt.zork.net/kde/kde20021126_46.html#1
http://kopete.org/

In addition, kopete seems to be able to work
with the KDE addressbook in the newest version.
http://docs.kde.org/en/HEAD/kdenetwork/kopete/using-kopete.html

I haven't used those two features yet, though,
and thus cannot comment on their state.

I have never been able to get the sms-plugin for kopete to work, however i find that internet sites are great for sending sms's.

Two such are:

web.icq.com/sms/ (you need an icq number)
www.smspup.com (Australian only, i know, not austrian ;))

Expect the worst, it's the least you can do.

Note that this is the English part of this forum...

The ICQ plugin doesn't work for you in Germany?
It does for me... it's the only kopete protocol plugin I've ever used...

I hope that the addressbook connectivity will become stable
before KDE 3.2 comes out.

I'll give it a shot now that the Beta version of KDE is out...
