how do you set konqueror to remember site passwords?

even in encrypted form.

Yes, that's possible. You can block them completely,
set Konqi to ask you every time or use the "smart" setting
that guesses which popups you want blocked.

Configure it under "Java & JavaScript" in Konqueror's settings.

This is correct.
Autocompletion is disabled on password fields, so no entry is saved anywhere.

KWallet. But I don't know if Konqueror will use to store input from password forms.

Yes, it does. Optionally, of course.

KWallet fills in forms, but does not submit them (in order to give you a chance to edit the entries in case you're doing something different)

Also, some sites take special pains to make it difficult to autofill passwords, there's not much to be done about those.
