Kaddressbook

i exported my address book to a *.csv file, and now after a new installation when i try to import the address book only the first 11 entries are imported, and are displayed blank.

I am using exactly the same configuration just a new hard disk.

Does the csv-file contain the adresses or is it empty as well?

Next time when you want to save your adresses, please do not export them, but save the original adressbook file in stead.
You can find it in either
~/.kde/hare/apps/kab
~/.kde/hare/apps/kabc
~/.kde/hare/apps/kaddressbook.

The Addressbook file has the extension vcf.

The cvs file contains everything - but kaddressbook only shows 11 entries.

Seems very odd, here's a couple of suggestions:

When you check the CSV file is there anything odd about the 11th or 12th record, a badly quoted string? a dangling apostrophe? a strange character?

Try importing the CSV file into OOo Calc (or similar) to check if there are any errors and if there aren't try exporting it to a new csv file and then try to import that in the kaddressbook.

Good luck

:)
