usage of rotated screens with kmail and konqueror

I downloaded and installed KDE 3.12 for Suse Linux 8.1 which seeems to
run fine. I rotated the first monitor output 90 degrees  to the right to be
able to read a whole A4 page (for DTP). However Kmail and Konqueror dont like
it so much and lock me out anytime I try to use the programs.

Konqueror works fine in the rotated mode as a filebrowser (file:/) or print job manager (print:/) just when I switch to use it for homepage (http://) then it will successfully close the session and log me out ;-)

Is there anything which I need to adjust additionally or are they not (yet) setup for
usage of rotated screens ?

All other software runs perfectly fine in the rotated mode (OpenOffice, Gimp
etc.) My graphicscard is a Matrox G450 (Dual Head).

My Configuration:

Matrox G450 32 MB Dual head

Suse 8.1
KDE 3.1.2

Glibc 2.2.5-177
gcc 3.2-46

saxtools-2.2-936
saxident-1.1-646
sax-2.9-641
sax2-4.7-389

BTW: Nice work the whole KDE project. Unfortunately 3.12 is a bit slower than
the previous very fast 3.1 version, but I guess you guys are working on this
right now ;-)
