Tab behavior (behaviour) in Konqueror

Prior to tabbed browsing in Konqueror, I used Mozilla or Galeon for browsing. Since I prefer KDE apps when it's an option, I switched to Konqueror as soon as it got tabs. Unfortunately, the tab behavior is driving me nuts, and I'm hoping there is a way to change it.

In Konqueror, once you have enough tabs open that you have to scroll left and right through the tabs because they extend beyond the window, clicking on a tab will send it to the right of the browser window. In Netscape and Galeon, the tabs stay where they were at as you bring them to the front. If you want to scroll left and right, that's up to you.

This is really irritating when opening a number of links that you want to go through in the order you opened them, as each time you click on one, it moves to the right and then you have to scroll over one so that you can click on the next tab.

Does anyone know how to change this? I've searched and can't find anything that even mentions how tabs behave.

Thanks!

John

In addition to this topic I'd also like to ask a question about TAB-behaviour:

I'm also a former Mozilla user, and in Mozilla there was a possibility to open a link in a new TAB using the middle-mouse-button.
However, in Konqueror I have only found the option to open ALL links in a new TAB, even the ones that I want to open in a new window....

Does anybody know a solution to this as well? :)

Perfect, but do you have any idea how to change this setting to my wishes?

(until that time I'll use this, since it really does work :P)

I find the tabbed browsing in konq clumsy too. The settings options need to be expanded and clarified.

I'd also like to see some Lotus Notes like functions like dragging and dropping items onto tabs to move them while using konq in file manager mode.

It's a good start, and it will ge better with future releases. my issues are verbatim what jfernau said.
