Kmail and 'return-path'

I'm using Kmail 1.6.2 and am having a little problem. I can send and receive email okay except that the 'return path' in the email header is not what I want it to be. In fact the 'return path' is in the form :

<logon name>@<my domain>.<service provider email server address>

I would like the 'return path' to be :

<email account name>@<service provider domain>

that is essentially what my 'from' and 'reply to' address is.

Because of this discrepency between the 'return path' and the actual 'from' and 'reply to' address, my emails are been flagged as spam by the likes of yahoo.com and not getting through to those I send them to.

I have tried to change the 'return path' by correctly setting the email address and reply-to address in 'settings' ->'configure kmail'->'identities' but this does not change the 'return path' value.

I have tried other mail tools, such as Ximian and Mozilla mail, and they both have the 'return path' set to the form/reply to address.

How do I change this in Kmail ?

Thanks for any tips and pointers.

Gary
