Default path for file open dialog in KMail

Hi,

Is it possible to set the default directory for kmails file open dialog without affecting the file open dialog for other KDE applications?

I have so far found two possible ways to do set the path:

- Set the Documents path in the kdeglobal config file. Unfortunately, this affects all KDE applications, not just kmail.

- set current working directory to the desired directory. Unfortunately, this would require me to always start kmail from a script. This also wouldn't work if a user decided to start kmail from KDE "Run Command" dialog.

Can someone point me to a better way?

I think every file open dialog is treated the same way and is not application specific so I can only figure those two ways also.

Unfortunately KMail doesn't save the last used directory.

You could move the kmail executable to kmail-bin and save the start script with name kmail

Then all methods would start KMail through the script.
