Customizing Kaddressbook printing layouts

Hi all.

I want to customize the printing formats of Kaddressbook. The 2 models included are too detailed. I want to print only few fieds for each contact, instead of printing all details (where a very lot are empty).

There's a way to print only some fileds? Or there's a way to print only non-empty fieds?

Or -better- there's a way to create modify the entire model??

There are other programs able to open the address book and printing it in a customizable format?

Thanks all a lot ...

RE: Customizing Kaddressbook printing layouts

Uh oh. It's been more than three years since you posted this, and I am still looking for the answer.

Can it be that you can't print out, say, a list of names and telephone numbers for a selected group, list, or category of contacts in Kaddressbook? Or am I just not seeing it, though I've searched high and low both in the interface and the on the web?

I love kmail and kaddressbook, and I think this basic functionality, if it is already in there, should be more apparent or, if it is not, should be at the head of the list of necessary features. It is the one that has caused me the most frustration in the years I have been using the program. Each time I need to do this, I think, "well, you've looked several times and couldn't find it." Then I think "I must not have looked hard enough. It's so basic it HAS to be in there" and "maybe it has been added since you last looked." Each time, I am puzzled not to find it.

Thanks to all who gave us these great free apps. Someday I hope to learn enough to contribute something. Meanwhile, all I can do is convey my experiences as a user.
