Using psnup in KDEPrint with copies=8
Please can anyone tell me how to print 8 identical copies ( copies=8 ) onto one sheet of A4.
It sounds easy but I have tried everything I can think of.
I am still a Linux newbie so please forgive me if I am being dense!!

You have to print the 8 pages to a file.
Then use a program on the console to put the 8 pages into 1 (sorry, i have never done, so I do not know.)
Then you have to send the resulting PostScript file to the printer:
kprinter yourfile.ps
(instead of kprinter, you can use lpr if you do not want a dialog.)

I tried printing many copies into one file but 'copies' is ignored.
I only ever get one copy!
Is it just me or does this affect other people?
Do I need to set something?
If I get lots of copies in one file I fancy psnup would have no problems in giving me what I want.
I would love to know the answer to this.

:idea:
May be you could use the tool psmerge to get the 8 pages from just 1.
The man page of psmerge gives also this alternative to psmerge (in one line):
gs -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=pswrite -sOutputFile=out.ps file1.ps file2.ps ... -c quit
Then when you have your 8 pages, you should then be able to use psnup.
