Installing Koffice 1.2.1 on Debian and KDE 3.1

I am trying to install Koffice on KDE 3.1 and Debian
I have tried the following:

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
apt-get install koffice

I get errors such as:

sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies
koffice: depends: koffice-libs but it is not going to be installed
depends: kchart but it is not going to be installed
depends: kformula but it is not going to be installed

etc,

also, before this it says something about ... since I only requested a single operation.... etc...

Thanks in advance for the help.
