Khotkeys: Mute, Volume Up, and Volume Down

KDE 3.2 has some very cool features, and one of my favorites is the Volume Up, Down, and Mute OnScreen displays that pop up when using the XF86Audio keys. However, they are a little inconsistent with the rest of my desktop. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the font that shows up? Is it possible to change the size of the box that comes up on screen? Or if I could use a png image instead of the boring grey box? I've searched high and low and I can't find any mention of these things. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction?
