[newbie] Problem with a digital camera

Hi,
I'm trying to use my Kodak dx 3500 (supported) under linux, I use a Suse 8.2 with Kde 3.1.1.
When I connect the camera (usb connection) I have an icon on the desktop and I can navigate inside with konqueror, I see the list of pics but if I try to save or to open one I receive a message that the file does not exist.

If I use digikam, the default program, (version 0.5.1), the program crash after the connection with the camera.
This is the backtrace:

Hi tulo,

Apart from telling you to upgrade your KDE I am not sure how I can help you, but I remember having similar problem on Suse 8.2 and all I did was I upgraded my Digikam software http://digikam.sourceforge.net/ .

But before you do that tell us: Does other devices work with your USB connection ?
