What's your favorite Hardware for Multimedia?

Hello to all KDE Users!

What I want to discuss about is:

Build your dream PC for running under Linux with KDE. Which components you would choose for having a perfect Linux-Multimedia-PC-System that is reliable?

Tell me about your experiences with components under Linux.

Thanx for every post

Hi,

For what it's worth it, I believe that my System is perfect and I do everything I like with it.

Tyan Thunder K7X SMP Mobo
2 x AMD 2.3 SMP CPUs
4 GB RAM
Sound Blaster 5.1 Gold Sound Card
Logitech ® Certified 5.1 Speakers - 280 Watts
CoolerMaster Praetorian PAC-T01-E1 - Silver Case
Nvidia GForce 4 Ti 4600
Iiyama 17" Flat Panel
Epson Perfection 3200 Photo
HP 1200 Desktop Pro Printer
Pioneer DVD -R
Plextor Combo CD RW + DVD Reader
Now Running Suse 9.0 Pro
KDE 3.1.4
Mplayer with 126 video codecs

For me this is a perfect System and I would recommend anyone to builed his/her own system, just like I did.

Here is a "Screenshot" of my KDE desktop.

I am a happy bunny! :D
