I would like to change the opening sound for kde splash scrn

When KDE is loading on my distro (SuSE 9.0 Pro) a sound file is played... I would like to change the sound file to something custom.... is there a way to change this file?

Sure. You can set that in the control center:
-> Sound & Multimedia
-> System Notifications
-> in the dropdown menu, select "KDE System Notifications"
-> change the entry for "KDE is starting up"
