KFind malfunctioning

A post for Irv, who contacted me through email and is unable to activate his account, so I have posted his question for him.

**********************************************************
When I use the KFind search feature of KDE, I am able to
input manual search requests. If I input 400 search requests, the KFind
program retains all 400 of the prior search requests within the program
- which can be viewed via the pull-down menu. Is there a way to delete
or purge these prior search requests? Possibly a cache file that could
be purged?

~/.kde/share/config/kfindrc

The entry pattern= <previous search patterns> is what you're lookin for.

I guess it would be nice to be able to do it from the KFind interface (I didn't see any way to do it either).
