KDEPRINTING DOES NOT OPEN PRINTERS OPTION

I am a kurumin 3.0 user and I have tried to read SUSE V8.2 (BOOTABLE cd) ysterday night.I think I've made a mistake with cups server because now my kdeprinting does not allow me to open printer that lost its configuration. It shows a message informing that cups server archives are presenting an error.It unable me to choose USB to continuate the configuration of the machine.I ask you to inform me step by step 'cause I'm a beginner.Thank you.

Why is this a poll?

Anyways, did you recompile a kernel between the time it worked and stopped working? Do other USB devices work from that USB port? Did you try a different USB port? Is the USB cable new or old? Does the printer itself work on a different computer?
