Winow Size and Placement Settings

Greetings all,

I am converting off of WindowsXP to Linux and I love KDE and its apps.

I need newbie help. KDE does not remember the size or placement of windows I open, such a browsing, office, etc. It seems to always open the same size window in the same place.

Is there a setting to correct this?
