Installing/running KDE 2.3.3 on RedHat 7.3

Hi!
I have tried to compile, install and run KDE 3.2.2. on my RedHat 7.3 distr. I have used Konstruct for this, and I have followed the recommendation i "read this first", i.e. changed the prefix to /lib. Everyting seems fine after compling, but how on earth can I then start KDE 3.2.2?? startkde or rebooting just leaves me in the old KDE. :(

I first compiled KDE in the standard directory, /root/kde3.2.2, after that I changed the prefix, and then I re-run make install. As you might have noticed I'am a newbie to Linux.
