Screensaver problem

Hello,

I have SuSE 9.0 and I recently updated KDE3.2 the easy way (RPM).
It seems that my KDE configurable screensaver is
/opt/kde3/bin/kdesktop_lock
On the other hand I compiled and installed the xscreensaver4.14
on my computer.

I assumed that it will replace the KDE-screensaver but they are actually
running parallel.

When ever I lock the screen manually in my computer, it uses the kdesktop_lock screensaver with very limited screensaver options.
Whenever my screen is idle for certain time, xscreensaver takes over.

I would like to switch to xscreensaver completely with all the bells and whistles.

All the cool xscreensaver executables are under directory
/usr/local/lib/xscreensaver
whereas the kde screensaver options are under
/opt/kde3/share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers

Has anyone been able to use and configure xscreensaver on kde3.2?
