KDE3.2 fonts look bad

I've just installed KDE3.2 and it seems quite good, even though I can't understand why the fonts look bad.

I mean, for instance, if I press the "K" I see the several voices like Graphics, Application and so on written terribly bad. Total lack of accuracy which I didn't experience using KDE3.1.

Would you mind to explain me how to get rid of this problem?
Thank you in advance.

Fonts

Have you checked to ensure anti-aliasing is turned on for your fonts, and that the anti-aliasing isn't excluded for a select size range of fonts? I had this happen and it perplexed me until I checked it against my root account and noticed that I messed anti-aliasing up.
There is a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.

I tried to set Verdana 11 and suddenly looked good, then anti-aliasing with both extra-options unchecked completed the job.
Now, fonts look pretty good, but I don't understand why they looked bad.
