Can't authorize

Hey all :)

I'm trying to talk to a friend that i haven't seen in ages and she has added me to her ICQ list - only thing is I can't see her (can't receive messages or anything)... However I can send her messages and she gets them...

Any ideas whats going on :(

I'm running Redhat 9 with Kopete 0.7.4 (RH RPM's)

Oh BTW: I think its cos theres no way to authorize her from my end...

add user to server-contact-list

Hi,

I had the same problem and I figured out, that adding someone to your contact list in kopete does not add the one to your ICQ-server-contact-list. But as long as the one you want to talk to is not on your server-contact-list you won't be able to see his/her online status or receive messages from him/her.

Solution: Use the ICQ-Webclient go.icq.com and re-add the user to your contact-list. As soon as the user appears there you will also be able to see his/hers online status within Kopete.
