KDE3.2 Slackware9.1 no background?!

Hello,

I have a problem, today i upgraded to kde3.2 (by the written in the readme file, firstly to remove all kde packages and then install the new ones), but on normal users there is no background on the desktop?! there isn't a preview of the image files also. i tried many things but still cannot show the background image. i choose a new one, but nothing happens. As root I started KDE and there was a background image! there was no problem. what should i do to have a background image on my desktop?
