cdrom icon on desktop

i just set on the scsi emulation of my dvd-r (hdc)
so i had to make a change in lilo.conf (append="quiet devfs=mount hdc=ide-scsi hdd=ide-scsi acpi=off"), then run lilo and reboot.
everything is fine now, EXCEPT that the dvd icon disappeared from the kde desktop.
i don't know how to make a new one (should be /mnt/cdrom) ... thnx for your help.
(mandrake 9.1 + kde 3.1.0)

Right click on the desktop -> "Create New" -> "CD/DVD-Rom Device..."
