Text Files do not preview from Konqueror Bookmark Panel

I just installed Redhat 9 (hope it wasn't a mistake) from 8 and now I cannot view text files in Konqueror from the bookmark panel (on left).

I can, however, open URL's, photoes, directories, etc. from the bookmark panel as well as open the text files from the bookmark menu (go figure).

I tried deleting my .kde directory .. but that did not correct this problem.

I know all the associations are correct .. everything works OK with text files exceptt this one instance ... before I beat my head too hard against my monitor .. any ideas??
