KFMCLIENT - Crash after icon view change and refuse start...

Hello to all,

My question/ problem is:

Everything run ok until try to change icon view (from menu or from icon) in kfmclient.
Application crash.
When try to start again from desktop or from panel kfmclient try to start but die.
Result no access to my home directory.
I discover in $home/.kde/share/config a buggy/trash/null file with the following name:

konqiconviewNnFbzb.new

When I delete it I able to start kfmclient again if not every time I try to start kfmclient
more files with the same radical are generated in the same location and kfmclient never start again.

Running file manger in super user mode works ok.

Any solution available ?
Stay using KDE is pending from a solution to this issue.

Many THX

Just a quick question, what KDE version are you using and also what distro? Is it pre-installed with your distro or is it a upgrade from a previews version of KDE?

Do you mean until now because you have upgraded, or you are planning to upgrade? I have been looking to replicate the problem at home but for some reason I can't which is good for me but not so good for you. Anyway a easy option out may be upgrading KDE to 3.1.2.

Thank you for your attention.
