an equivalent to "su root" in the gui?

hi everyone

i was trying to copy a file to some different location, but KDE keeps saying "access denied", "permission denied" and stuff like that, so i wonder what i can do to bypass that(other than logging in as root), maybe somtehing like su or i dunno...

Hi,
you can use the program kdesu.
eg running konqueror as root:
Alt-F2 -> kdesu konqueror -> Enter pw -> wait a little -> voila

If you are using minicli (Alt-F2) you can choose the user to run as in "Settings>>>" (Einstellungen in the German version)
