Store Windows settings

Hi,

i'm looking for start applications always in the same position with the posibility to configure it.
I have trying to do using "store window settings" option. After press that option KDE write the information in kwinrc file that is used the following application starts, but only works when the "store window setting" option is pressed, otherwise the applications starts in different positions.

There is a posibility to control this option by a file or something like that??

Thanks in advance,

Andres

You could try kstart and the --geometry option or see if the application has an --geometry option itself.

Thanks,

but in that case i have to implement something to store geometry, like a file... I was looking for some funcionality provided by KDE. If it is not possible i'll modify my applications code to read the geometry before display the application window.
