Kpackage 3.1 on Debian Woody

I've managed to replace KDE2.2 by KDE 3.1 on Woody, but Kpackage doesn't work any more. It accesses sources.list and updates & displays & browses the package list correctly. But it does not install or remove any package - the message I get is "exec: no such file or directory".

So, which file could this message refer to? Or how can I find out, which file is not accessible?

TIA,
Guest

kpackage still has a long way to go, i suggest using the classic way with command line or use synaptic.

keep in mind you must be root (or run as root) the applications that take advantage of apt-get otherwise it wont work.
