Not sure where the best place to post this is, so here goes:

I've been using kde for several years and I really like it. I have one major peeve with it.

Maybe I've missed something, but I know of no (effective) way to search any kde application manual for an answer. The search function I have found works only on the current page. That's nearly useless because almost all the pages are very short. Reverting to Google/site: search, etc. is also less than stellar because all the manuals are stored in one place and, unless you're a genius with selecting search terms (or already know the answer), the results that come back are from things scattered all over kde and finding anything remotely relevant to the question is really tough.

There needs to be a search function that is prominent on manual pages which understands the structure of the manuals and makes it easy to say:
I want to know about "widgets", but only those that are part of "kate" or only those that are part of "konqueror" - a search that is bounded by the manual/help "virtual file" that the user began the search from.

I know about Google's "+", quotes operators, etc. but they really don't cut it. Most of the time, when I look for something in a kde manual, if I don't find it in a few minutes, I just give up and look elsewhere. I know there's a lot of good information there, but short of reading the entire manual, there's no way to find it unless you already know most of the answer.
