newby too

I'v just opened up my new frespire operating system only to find that I have no access to my computer anymore. Everything I try to do I get a message that4 the file is locked or I have no permission to view that file. I own the computer and should have access to every thing since I do have the passwrod that I put in to the os.there should be a way to circumvent all this crap and getting down to doing what I want to do. I planned to leave Microsoft for something better but now I get these runarounds at every thing I try to do.Can you or someone davise me as to how to run this os with ease and have the control that it should have.Try to answer that please.I have been trying to do some things that are normally a whiz. but not with this os.
thanks again appresicte your answer.
