KDE 4 for Mac

Dear all,

First let me say that I am using KDE since 3.1 version.
Recently, I bought an iMac, and I used the macport to install KDE 4.3.2 (I do not recall the exact version, but it is KDE 4.3 for sure).

Is it possible to configure the OS-X so that when I log in, I log into the KDE environment?

The iMac came with the might mouse, and as you all know this does not have a wheel to scroll. Do I need to configure something to make it work with the KDE applications (e.g. Kate, dolphin)?

Thank you in advanced for your time

There is one more problem that I have with KDE4 on the mac. When I start Kate (for example) and I choose to open a file, the filemanager window that opens does not show the full name of the folders. For the example for folder "bin", appears as "b..". Now, If I zoom in, everything is ok, but as soon as I zoom out, the problems reappears.

Has anyone seen this problem? I compiled KDE4 and QT4.6 from macport

Thank you
