recovering identities and account settings

During this week I have reinstalled Gentoo and kdebase-startkde. I made a copy of the .kde3.5 directory. After installing kmail I was able to import my old messages simply by copying the old .kde3.5/share/apps/kmail folder to the new one. I've managed to import the old filter rules. But I still do not know how to import the old identities and account settings. How can I import them as well?

Browsing through the old /kde3.5/share/apps/config directory I've found the file containing the old identities (emailidentities). The account settings appear to be in the kmailrc file in the same directory. After copying this file, I checked the account settings. Copying the kmailrc file did the trick for the outgoing account settings, but the incoming (pop) account settings are still missing.
