Konqueror/Dolphin is still a big problem for me.

All my newfound enthusiasm for Plasma starts to fade when I try to find a decent file manager for KDE4. Konqueror and Dolphin together can't seem to do what Konqueror alone used to do. I've spent at least a couple of hours searching, and it really looks like there's no longer a filter bar in Konqueror for fast locating of files, but there's one in dolphin. Dolphin doesn't open a separate Konsole Window anymore, it opens an annoying little terminal window inside of Dolphin. I can open a dolphin Window in Konqueror, but I Can't open a konqueror window in dolphin,

I don't know why I can't get "storage media" anymore, but it's the loss of the filter bar that makes Konqueror useless as a file manager. And the little Window in Dolphin makes it close to useless for one of my favorite uses of Konqueror, eliminating the need for using that blind, awkward cd command to navigate the command line.

For a file manager for KDE4 I finally settled on XFE, the one that sort of looks like Windows98. That's kind of pathetic,
but I have to believe that there's a way to get Konqueror back to its old self, or there will be. First thing is to create the devs' vision of of the desktop, and in time we can get the plugins to let Konqueror be Konqueror again. I can be patient.
