Nothing wrong with it, but I'll be sticking with KDE 3

KDE4 is here. It's here to stay, There's nothing wrong with it. It's beautiful. Lots of people love it. It's a good job, and Congratulations are in order. It's not what I need, though.

It's not reasonable for people to want "the same thing, only different". I don't want a fork; I just want security updates. I hope that enough people stick with KDE 3 that we can get those. I'm starting a KDE 3 user group on Facebook.

KDE 3 Diehards take note:

I was just reminded that Ubuntu Hardy Heron (my current distro) is LTS (Long Term Support) which means that Hardy Heron will be maintained with KDE 3, to 2011.

This is good news for me, since so far my KDE 3 Facebook has (let's check) uh... 1 member! But he's dedicated! :thumbsup:
