IMAP folders Kmail

I have a problem with my trash folder for one of my imap accounts. The trash folder keeps filling copies of received messages. I delete them, and then they doens't come back. I think maybe this happens before the message is marked as read. Yesterday I emptied the trash folder. I did the same 4 days ago, but yet it was 222 copies of the same message in the trash folder. Has anybody an idea of what this can relay on?

Hi Dag,

Go to 'Settings -> Configure KMail -> Accounts -> Receiving -> [your IMAP account] -> Modify' and check 'Automatically compact folders (expunges deleted messages)'.
This should do the trick.
