Can not override Konqueror's Default minimum font-size!

I'm a web designer and I'm having great difficulty with KHTML that makes dealing with IE seem easy. I can not override the default minimum font-size! While at first this would seem desirable it's not as it's on by default and has a large font-size equivalent to 16px! I'm also not sure what "7" is but after testing I've determined it equates to 16px. This is in Konqueror 4.0.3 on Kubuntu 8.04.

I've attempted to use font-size-adjust as well as !important. This really screws with the layout of my site specifically the tabs on the prompt which can be viewed here...

I'm not patching Preview IV though I have been spending time on a second style sheet to override defaults for Preview V of my website which I will update the first week of July.

Here are the fixes without changing the browser's default settings in Konqueror...

Any suggestions for fixes that do not fiddle with the browser's default settings?
