[Firefox] Url issues

Hello everybody,
I've installed on my laptop a Sabayon Linux 3.5 with Kde 3.5.9.
I got some issues using Firefox:
I checked the option "new pages will be opened in a new tab" so I can use only one instance of firefox; when I try to open downloaded pages by double click upon them and the name of the file has got some blank spaces I get an error like "Can't visualize the page" and I notice that the path in the Url bar is cutted to the first blank space in the name of the file.
The error does not appear when firefox is not opened yet.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks a lot!

might be a sabyon issue as i couldnt reproduce it on kubuntu. perhaps you i could try with more specific details but i just saved the file (from fire fox) as "firefox url issue" and it opened fine under both konqueror & firefox
