Panel widget

I think it would be really cool thing if panel would be an widget. And also made from different widgets as it is now.
As is with other widgets, this panel widget would be fully customizable or even changed for other panel widget.
Let's say I want my panel to look like MAC OSX dock i could just remove the default panle widget and start MAC OS panel widget, other panel widgets could be Vista like and GNOME like. I think this should really be feature, because KDE4 is cross-platform so it make sens that those that run it on MAC or windows could customize it to look more like their previos desktops.
And this widget shuold not be unlocked with all the other widgets, and could be customized only with widgets that are panel specific.
What do you think? Any comments on this idea. I don't think it's that bad...
