changing kdehome crash

Hi all,

I would like to change my kdehome .kde to .kde4.
I decided to change in startkde kdehome=$HOME/.kde to kdehome=$HOME/.kde4
I decided to do the same thing with kde3.
But in both kde (kdm4 and kdm3) I have this error message : Could not start kstartupconfig4 (kstartupconfig4). Check your installation.

Anyone can explain me why this occurs when I only change the kdehome ?

Thanks a lot,

PS: I also try export KDEHOME=$HOME/.kde4 and it's the same.
