kde4 multiscreen

Hi, I'm just trying KDE4. I'm running a multiscreen envirioment (no xinerama or twin-view). When I start kde I only get a desktop on display :0. I've been searching about this but there doesn't seem to be a clear answer, is it possible to run KDE with multiple screens.

Anyway, I might consider twin-view if it is possible to
1) Have separate workspaces for each screen, eg switching workspace on one screen does *not* switch on the first. How can anyone *ever* want the default behavior of having a large workspace that spans over multiple screens?
2) Get rid of the dead area below below screens with smaller resolution than the first.

Is it possible?
