Virtual Desktops

Is there any way to allow each desktop to have its own desktop image or slideshow? I have tried searched all kinds of places for the setting ... so far no go. Anyone have a simple solution (apart from returning to kde 3 as i have already done that.)?

RE: Virtual Desktops

I'm agree... I upgrade my KDE3 to KDE4 on my unstable debian. I have 2 screens, with each one Desktop (Desktop and Desktop1). But on KDE4, my second screen have just the mouse cursor from the Xorg... :-(

So, can someone have a solution ?

Thnak you for all the KDE project ! It's a good work !

You guys have more than one desktop? How did you get them? I have no applets at all for Kicker, much less the pager.

I can't even get Kicker at the top of the screen where I like it to be. There are no Preferences.

Ah, never mind. KDE4's gone insane.

All I get now when I log in is the desktop, Ktip, and the cashew in the upper-right. No kicker, no nothing else. I can install widgets, but something's fundamentally busted.

I deleted .kde and .mcop in user directory, but no change.

Back to 3.5 for me.

Try This:

Try creating a new user, then migrating your files (That worked for me)

At taskbar (or kicker) get context menu with mouse right button or press menu button at the right (additional panel appears) and choose "add widgets" and find "Pager", select it and press button "add widget"

Press settings button at taskbars right side (additional panel appears) and holding at button "screen edge" drag taskbar where you want it to be.
